How customers interact with Requests for Information
RFI Tab (Customer View)
The RFI Items tab in the Customer Portal shows all Requests for Information for a project, allowing customers to review, respond, and mark items as ready for review.
RFI Table
The table displays RFI items with these columns:

| Status | Color-coded badge showing current status |
| Title / Name | Name of the RFI item |
| Created | Date the RFI was created |
| Updated | Date the RFI was last updated |
| Action | "View" button to open the RFI detail modal |
Status Sorting
RFI items are automatically sorted by status priority (most urgent first):
- Incomplete (red badge) — Items needing customer action
- Pending (yellow badge) — Items awaiting response
- Ready for Review (blue/info badge) — Items the customer has responded to
- Completed (green badge) — Items fully resolved
RFI Detail Modal
Clicking the "View" button on any RFI opens a modal dialog showing:
- RFI name/title
- Full description
- Notes
- Current status
- Whether the item is marked as ready for review
Bulk Actions
Customers can select multiple Pending or Incomplete RFI items using checkboxes and then:
- Click "Mark Selected as Ready for Review" to batch-update selected items
- The selected count is shown (e.g., "3 selected")
- Click "Clear Selection" to deselect all
The bulk actions bar appears only when at least one item is selected. Only items with Pending or Incomplete status show checkboxes.
Select All
A "Select All" checkbox in the table header selects all eligible (Pending/Incomplete) RFI items at once.
Generate Current Checklist
When RFI items exist, a "Generate Current Checklist" button appears in the tab action area. This generates and downloads a PDF version of the current RFI checklist for the project.
